Multi Media Journalist /Wake Up Wisconsin Segment Anchor
Multi Media Journalist /
Wake Up Wisconsin Segment Anchor

A what?? You’re right. That’s an awfully long name for a job at a TV station. But we’re much more than a TV station. We’re a multi-media content producing company. And we’re looking for someone who thinks, eats and drinks news, loves to get up early, and is looking for a new challenge in their career!

Part of the job is helping out with Wake Up Wisconsin, the #1 rated news program in the Wausau TV market. Wake Up Wisconsin is so popular, that we beat our competition by a two to one margin! And that’s when you add our 2 competitors ratings together! As a segment anchor, you will put together portions of Wake Up Wisconsin, and then anchor them from the newsroom, on-set or from a variety of other locations in our building. So, you need to be comfortable in front of a camera, able to put together news stories for TV, and edit video for a TV newscast. You’ll also get the chance to fill in for our anchor when she is on vacation!

The other part of the job is producing content on a daily basis. This content might include a story for our evening TV shows, but it may also include content for our web channel, mobile platform, or other social media sites like Twitter and Facebook. You’ll shoot, write and edit this content, and most of the time you’ll do it without the help of a photographer. In other words, you’ll be a true multi-media journalist.

Okay, still interested? Here’s the legal mumbo-jumbo type stuff:
Applicants must have a degree in journalism or a related multimedia field and prior on-camera professional experience. You must have a valid drivers license, along with a clean driving record.

Join the #1 rated news team in north central Wisconsin!
